Essential Functions of the Position:
- Gives directions and align associates on the shift to ensure they stay fully utilized. Be certain that the Press schedule is being met and notify appropriate persons if there is a problem.
- Organizes and coordinates the activities of employees to ensure that productions and/or repairs conform to quality standards outlined by the company and/or customer requirements.
- Responsible for completion of all applicable paper work and computer inputs – Shift summary sheet, Down time system, Lot Traceability sheet, Crane check sheet, Destacker set-up sheet, Die set sheet, LPA, Layered Process sheet, QID sheet, etc.
- Manpower alignment to schedule and organize break rotation incl. filling in for Associates that are out.
- Assist Supervisors with tracking of attendance, vacation, overtime and performance appraisal issues.
- Train associates and ensure work instructions are being followed by all Associates on the line.
- Perform other duties as required.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Manufacturing Environment:
- 90% Standing and Walking, 10% Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Education and/or Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year prior metal working and press experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills
- Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant
Preferred:
- Six months to one year experience as press operator
- SAP knowledge
- Tool and Die, Electrician or millwright Certificate of qualification
Work Experience
- Must currently hold or be able to attain a forklift license.
- Must exemplify excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and oral).
- Good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
- Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant.

Pay range: $27.11 - $30.03 per hour
