255-10 Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and support business transformation initiatives by gathering and documenting clear, testable, and actionable business requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes and systems, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, Agile environment and be instrumental in shaping the direction of our IT solutions.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements using standard templates aligned with DTMB and MDOS policies and guidelines.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering meetings with stakeholders and project team members to identify impacted business processes.
• Develop and maintain the project backlog in Agile environments; work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize user stories.
• Monitor and manage project requirements to ensure alignment with scope and objectives.
• Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement for data governance and business rules definition.
• Analyze and provide input for Build vs. Buy decisions.
• Track project benefits and assess impact of changes to scope or requirements.
• Complete and manage System Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables related to business analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, QA testers, DBAs, and other technical staff to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
• Support resolution of critical IT issues related to business analysis.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance practices
• 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, including creation of epics, features, and user stories
• Strong understanding of BA, QA, and Developer roles and responsibilities
• 5+ years of experience analyzing as-is and to-be business processes
• 3+ years of experience in developing product roadmaps
• 3+ years of experience with Agile and other Project Management Methodologies
• 3+ years of experience using business analysis tools such as FIGMA and Visio
