Job Objective:
Assists the reservoir engineering department with the technical work of the company’s exploitation & exploration projects and reserves management.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Creates and updates economic databases.
- Retrieves, downloads, and imports well production data.
- Creates preliminary economic forecasts.
- Develops summary evaluation spreadsheets.
- Coordinates special projects for reservoir, geological, and acquisitions and divestitures (A &D) staff.
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of evaluation well data.
- Creates and maintains corporate reserve report evaluations.
- Participates in weekly reservoir engineering meetings.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
- Supports company vision and mission.
- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years oil and gas engineering tech experience.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Ability to integrate data from different sources into model reservoirs.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook).
- Preferred: Aries, PI/Dwights, power tools, OFM, and public data retrieval.
Education Requirements:
- Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with some training and experience in ARIES Economics Program or similar engineering software. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a technical degree.
