Programme overview:
Our 2027 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting on Monday 14 June 2027 and finishing on Friday 20 August 2027. You'll be given introductory training with the internship intake across the firm and more specific training within the Infrastructure team, as well as opportunities to network with people across the business. During your internship you will be assigned to the Infrastructure team where you will have the opportunity to shadow senior executives and gain broad exposure across capital raising, product strategy and portfolio management for private markets funds investing in the energy transition.
Throughout the programme you will:
Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business

Some of your tasks may include:
Working with the capital raising and product strategy teams to develop and launch new product offerings with a view to growing our platform globally. This involves research of new investment themes, supporting the structuring of new products and the creation of client materials
Supporting capital raising processes, including investor due diligence
Assisting in portfolio management, including portfolio construction analysis, investment governance, investor reporting, and maintaining fund-level data.
The department
Schroders Greencoat was founded in 2009 and is now part of Schroders. It is a specialist infrastructure investment manager, focused on investing in the fast-growing alternative asset class of energy transition through both public and private market funds. Our expertise includes established renewable technologies such as wind and solar, as well as newer areas such as batteries, heat pumps, heat networks and green hydrogen.
Schroders Greencoat is central to Schroders’ infrastructure equity capabilities within Schroders Capital, the group’s private markets business. Schroders Capital Infrastructure brings together the legacy Greencoat teams in the US and Europe, alongside a Paris-based infrastructure equity team from within Schroders and a more recently onboarded renewable infrastructure team based in Hong Kong and mainland China. Collectively, this comprises a team of over 140 staff with a presence in 10 countries across Europe, the United States and China and has invested over €17 billion into ca. 450 energy transition assets at various project stages, with an aggregate capacity of around 8GW.

When the internship commences, you will have completed your second year of studies and will be on track to graduate with a degree (or equivalent) in 2028.
