Graduate Product / Process Engineer
The Graduate Product / Process Engineer is an early-career role supporting aerospace investment casting operations, building a strong foundational engineering skillset, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include process monitoring and control, process ownership, production support and maintenance, tooling support, defining and executing process methods, and identifying opportunities for yield improvement.
The role provides broad exposure to the processes involved in manufacturing aerospace cast products, with a focus on understanding specific products and manufacturing processes, as well as their upstream and downstream impacts. Working alongside an experienced mentor, the graduate will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to take ownership of assigned processes and responsibilities, progressing toward independent performance.
As part of our Graduate Development Program, participants will also gain valuable cross-site experience, working with different teams, products, and manufacturing environments to broaden their engineering knowledge and support continuous improvement across our operations.
Graduate Ceramics Engineer
The Graduate Ceramics Engineer is an early-career role supporting aerospace investment casting operations, with a focus on the use and control of ceramic materials and components throughout the manufacturing process. The primary responsibility is the development and control of ceramic molds, created by repeatedly dipping wax assemblies into specific combinations of ceramic slurries and applying various grades of stucco to build a robust shell capable of withstanding dewaxing, mold firing, and molten metal pouring.
The role focuses on identifying, investigating, and controlling key process variables that influence mold integrity, performance, and compatibility with the alloys being cast. Responsibilities include managing slurry chemistry, optimizing robotic dipping, draining and stucco application processes, and controlling the thermodynamics of the drying environment to consistently produce high-quality molds while maximizing yield and maintaining production throughput.
The Graduate Ceramics Engineer will also contribute to troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency. Initially working alongside a ceramics subject matter expert, the graduate will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to take ownership of assigned processes and progress toward independent performance.
Graduate Metallurgist
The Graduate Metallurgist is an early-career role supporting aerospace investment casting operations through metallurgical laboratory activities, material testing, and validation across the manufacturing process. The role focuses on evaluating and verifying the properties and quality of alloys, cast components, and other materials used in the production of aerospace castings to ensure compliance with defined specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities include hands-on laboratory work such as sample preparation, cutting, mounting, etching, and polishing, as well as metallographic examination, evaluation, documentation, and reporting of results. The Graduate Metallurgist will also support the coordination of external material testing, review and receipt of test reports, and verification of material certifications against applicable specifications and requirements.
The role will contribute to troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material quality, process reliability, and product performance. Initially working alongside an experienced mentor, the graduate will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform metallurgical evaluations independently and support the delivery of high-quality aerospace cast products.
