Job Description:

We are looking for four (4) commercial interns to join our team next summer.
A summer internship at EDF means you’ll have the opportunity to develop and utilize new skills, explore interesting fields and do challenging work. We help our customers optimize their energy assets, expertly manage risk, establish sustainable income streams, and develop value-added services to more effectively compete in the marketplace.

Internship Summary

EDF constantly seeks intelligent, ambitious, and responsible students with an entrepreneurial spirit, who are eager to jumpstart their career in energy markets by being a part of our prestigious paid internship program.

Successful completion of a summer internship with EDF provides you with the potential to be offered a returning internship or full-time role as a Graduate Rotational Analyst depending on your graduation date and our business need.

Historically, our interns have participated in the following activities:

  • Hands-on participation in actual projects aligning to your goals, resulting in reusable work and streamlined processes for EDF

  • Industry specific and business skills training events, community service, social activities, and opportunities to network with functional leaders

  • Regular assessments and continuous coaching from your manager and mentor

  • End of the summer presentation to leadership team and key stakeholders, demonstrating what you learned in your internship and providing insight on your experience

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or Finance/Accounting

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Basic MS computer skills: Windows, Office and Excel

  • Basic computation and technical skills, such as SQL, Python, Tableau or similar preferred

  • For certain placements, advanced coding skills required

  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and draw actionable conclusions

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills

  • Previous internship experience preferred

  • Proven leadership and/or participation in extracurricular activities preferred

  • Available for a minimum of ten consecutive weeks in Houston

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee, temporary resident, or an individual who possesses valid work authorization.
