The mission this summer is to build an innovative product from the ground up. You will work with a small, cross-functional team over 3 months to discover, develop and validate a business case through design research and competitive analysis. Get out of the building and engage your customers. Uncover their pains, gains, and jobs-to-be-done, and rapidly prototype solutions. Use real insights to drive your technical architecture, assess feasibility and build a scalable solution for a validated problem. Continuously improve your value proposition, business model, and go-to-market strategy, and prepare to launch a functional MVP before the end of the summer.
You are the technical know-how on your startup team. Help them make architectural decisions and take the idea from the first commit to the final MVP. Over the summer you will:
- Embrace core concepts and design patterns used in agile software engineering.
- Review code from peers to enforce best practices.
- Communicate development status to stakeholders.
- Learn and leverage relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes in your development efforts.
- Develop the confidence to take new ideas from concept to reality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier university/college, or able to demonstrate significant, relevant professional experience.
- Experience developing with major programming languages, frameworks, and tools
- Experience with approaches and tools for automated testing ie. Playwright
- Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Depth of skill in software engineering, with the patience and willingness to collaborate across other disciplines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, biased towards action, comfortable with fast-paced. environment. Startup experience is a plus.
- You must be fully available-onsite-from June 1 2025 through 28 August 2025.
