2026 Internship- Human Resources Team – Cleveland

The Intern will be a passionate and proactive Employee Experience Intern to join our HR team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about creating meaningful workplace experiences, fostering employee engagement, and supporting a culture of inclusion and belonging. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that enhance the employee’s journey from onboarding to recognition and beyond.

The Intern Program will introduce you to BWE, the capital markets industry, and our outstanding professionals.

Program participants will receive exposure to various workplace experiences, employee engagements, onboarding, I-9’s, recruiting, and other human resources best practices.

BWE is a national, full-service commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company that puts people and communities first.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth experience for new hires.
  • Help gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys and focus groups.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on initiatives related to foundation scholarship fundraising.
  • Passive recruitment efforts on platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Handshake for entry-level positions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote internal communications and culture-building efforts.
  • Maintain and update employee experience resources and documentation.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and project coordination as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current undergraduate sophomore or junior; pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Desire to support and learn more about the commercial real estate industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about employee engagement, culture, and workplace well-being.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

DESIRED:

  • Desire to learn strategic HR initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience in employee engagement and HR Operations
  • Exposure to the primary property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and lodging.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Mentorship and professional development
