Our Internship Program provides undergraduate students with a structured and meaningful learning experience designed to prepare them for future careers and help them make informed decisions about their professional aspirations. This 10-week opportunity focuses on building foundational business knowledge while helping interns understand how to effectively operate and grow in a corporate environment.
This opportunity is part of SEI’s broader professional and leadership development continuum, designed to support early career talent as they explore potential career paths. While the internship does not guarantee full-time placement, it provides meaningful exposure to SEI’s culture, ways of working, and development opportunities that may support future consideration for additional early career programs.
Interns will work in a hybrid model from our corporate headquarters in Oaks, Pennsylvania.
In addition to on-the-job experience, Interns can expect to:

Develop practical workplace capabilities through interactive sessions focused on how work gets done in a corporate environment

Receive regular coaching and guidance through one‑to‑one sessions with the program manager to support professional growth and career exploration

Build meaningful relationships with fellow interns through several events held throughout the summer
Receive a resume review and professional headshot to support future career opportunities
Academic achievement in Business or Technology related fields of study such as finance, accounting, economics, marketing, computer science, or data analytics
Leadership involvement in university or community organizations (e.g., charities, clubs, athletic teams, honor societies)
A grade point average of 3.5 or above
General awareness of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and an interest in learning how AI can be used responsibly and effectively in a professional work environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills

The Operations Integrity & Quality Control (OIQC) team supports the operations of SEI’s Investment Manager Services (IMS) on matters relating to internal controls, process improvements, and risks (assessment & prevention). OIQC’s reach extends to both the Alternative and Traditional businesses within IMS, allowing a wide and diverse range of opportunities for learning, development and networking.
IMS Operations Integrity & Quality Control Internship:As an intern and part of the OIQC team, you will be working with management to assist multiple IMS teams in a variety of different projects/reviews. This may include, but not limited to: Executing review plans to test the operating effectiveness of internal controls, the accuracy of financial records and compliance with an Operations teams’ policies and procedures.
Developing and implementing process enhancements and increasing efficiencies through use of automation from various technological tools/programs
Specifically on the Traditional side, you will be trained and responsible for interpreting Investment Management and Valuation policies/agreements, along with monthly Broker and Custodial statements. OIQC has been working on a large project with many internal/external stakeholders to implement standardized client revenue/expense calculations for CIT Funds. You will be required to assist management with testing and providing recommendations on such calculations, along with reviewing expense agreements and communicating with multiple teams regarding status tracking and deadlines. Additionally, you will also be involved with sampled testing of manual reconciliations performed by Fund Accounting. This will give you an opportunity to understand the cash and position reconciliation process, along with its potential risk areas to determine if controls were effectively performed by the related Operations team.
