2026 Fall Intern - PTQ Quality Processes
Department Summary

You will report to the US Internship Program Manager in the PTQ Quality Process Function. The ideal candidate is a self-starter deeply curious and energized by learning. You should be comfortable with working through ambiguity and are able to prioritize and manage multiple demands and commitments.
Your role will be to help Quality Processes fulfill its mission to stabilize and optimize the core Quality processes by supporting metrics and monitoring for MRoQ (Management Review of Quality), business system process and integration, PTQ strategy and project management.
In this role you will collaborate with a cross functional team of leaders, SME’s from business functions within Global Quality and Compliance and across the Pharma Technical Operations network.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
Spearhead and/or participate in PTQ initiatives and projects.
Facilitate workshops / team break-out sessions.
Develop metrics and performance indicators.
Generate business insights.
Create and manage data repositories / communication channels.
Other priorities as assigned by the Global Head of Quality Processes.
Program Highlights
Intensive 6 month, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in September.
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Who You Are (Required)
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
- Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
- Must have attained a Master's Degree.
Required Majors: Pursuing a degree in Life Science/ Business/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Mathematics/ Liberal Arts / or related fields.
Required Skills:
Leadership – building and/or guiding a team, project or equivalent.
Project management.
Proficiency with collaboration / productivity tools.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Ability to work with a global team, collaborate with scientists, engineers, business analysts and consultants from different cultures and locations.
Proactive, inquisitive, and good communication skills.
Ability to intake and synthesize information.
Use quantitative and qualitative approaches to solve business problems.
Exhibit a passion for high quality and strive for continuous improvement.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile fundamentals is a plus.
Cross-cultural experience, a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $24.00-$40.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
