2026 Fall Intern - gRED Learning and Development
Department Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and curious Learning Program Specialist / Intern to join our gRED Learning & Development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about learning experiences, project coordination, learner engagement, and the evolving role of AI in workplace learning.
You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise learning programs while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support impactful learning experiences across the organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to blend program management, learner experience design, communication strategy, and emerging learning technologies — including AI-enabled tools.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
Program Coordination & Execution
Within 30 days, familiarize yourself with the L&D calendar and assist in coordinating logistics for at least two upcoming workshops or learning events (calendar invites, materials, room/Google Meet setup, attendance support).
By 60 days, independently manage logistics for a learning program from pre-communication through day-of execution and post-session follow-up.
Support seamless delivery of virtual, hybrid, and in-person learning experiences.
Stakeholder & Learner Support
Partner with facilitators and stakeholders to coordinate communications, attendance tracking, learner support, and scheduling.
Respond to learner inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
Within 90 days, identify and improve one recurring operational process (e.g., attendance tracking, calendar coordination, communication workflows) and document the process for scalability and future interns.
Project Support & Data Tracking
Maintain and update project trackers, timelines, and learning calendars using tools such as Google Sheets, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
Support data gathering, cleaning, analysis, and reporting from learning surveys, LMS/LXP exports, and engagement metrics.
Create simple dashboards, reports, or visual summaries to support decision-making and program evaluation.
Learner Engagement & Communication
Within 30 days, audit existing L&D communications and recommend improvements for clarity, tone, accessibility, and learner engagement.
By 60 days, independently draft and publish communications for at least three learning campaigns (emails, intranet posts, learner guides, reminders, FAQs, or job aids).
Help create engaging learner experiences through storytelling, visual design, and audience-centered communication.
Learning Design & Experience Support
Assist in curating and co-designing learning materials such as presentations, handouts, visuals, e-learning assets, and facilitator resources aligned with adult learning principles.
Co-develop learner surveys, pre/post assessments, knowledge checks, and feedback forms for live and digital learning experiences.
Explore innovative and AI-enabled approaches to improve learning engagement and accessibility.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Participate in post-program debriefs by summarizing successes, challenges, learner feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
Research and recommend at least three innovative learning formats, tools, or content approaches (e.g., gamification, interactive learning, social learning, AI-enabled learning experiences).
Propose at least one workflow, process, or tool enhancement based on your internship observations and experiences.
Program Highlights
Intensive 6 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are on September (Fall).
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Who You Are (Required)
Required Education
You meet one of the following criteria:
Must be pursuing or have attained an Associate's Degree.
Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
Required Majors: Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, Business, Communications, or a related field and/or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred coursework or demonstrated interest in:
Adult Learning & Development
Psychology or Behavioral Science
Instructional Design
Organizational Development
Communications / HR Operations
Required Skills:
Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet).
Familiarity or willingness to learn AI-powered productivity and learning tools such as Gemini, NotebookLM, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $31.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
