What is the opportunity?

Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience in digital risk management, governance, and program delivery within a dynamic HR technology environment? By applying to this internship, you will have the opportunity to work as a Fall HRDS - Risk Management Intern within the HR Digital Solutions (HRDS) team. This role offers exposure to enterprise risk areas such as privacy risk, third-party risk, and business continuity risk, while collaborating with experienced professionals to support risk management activities, vendor oversight, and operational execution for HR digital platforms and tools.

What will you do?

Risk Management & Governance:

  • Assist in monitoring and interpreting enterprise risk policies and industry standards, ensuring requirements are communicated effectively to the HRDS team.
  • Support the completion and regular review of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Business Environment Impact Evaluation (BEIE).
  • Help maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure operational resilience for HRDS systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and App Custodians to identify and assess risks associated with system changes, upgrades, or new digital capabilities.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for internal or external audits, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups on remediation actions.
  • Contribute to the creation of risk awareness materials and reference resources to build risk capability within the HRDS team.

Program Management & Operational Execution:

  • Assist in coordinating recurring programs such as Workday semi-annual releases, ensuring stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.
  • Support access governance activities, including reviewing and completing SharePoint audits.
  • Provide administrative support for escalated enterprise digital HR issues, ensuring prompt risk reporting as needed.

Must-have:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in HR technologies, risk management, and digital program delivery.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with HR platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk areas such as privacy risk, third-party risk, and business continuity risk.
  • Experience with program coordination or project management.

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Fall 2026 Student placement with a start date of September 2026, and end date of December 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2026 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
