What is the opportunity?
As a Digital Marketing Summer Student, you will support strategic initiatives focused on enhancing online visibility, website performance, and product research for RBC’s Commercial and Small Business portfolio. Working closely with the Digital Marketing team, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will support AEO/SEO optimization, website maintenance, and data-driven insights to improve customer acquisition and engagement across digital channels.
What will you do?
- Support the Digital Marketing Managers by executing various integrated marketing tactics in alignment with stakeholder and business objectives
- Assist in project management of digital development and maintenance projects, including stakeholder/legal approval, translation and working with internal copywriters and designers to request and manage project content
- Ensure all pages are accurate, function properly and comply with all RBC regulatory standards, design requirements and AEO/SEO guidelines
- Generate website analytics reports for key stakeholders
- Act as a partner to and liaise with internal business partners
- Ensure that project deliverables are of high quality and any development adheres to the standards of RBC
- Manage maintenance process to ensure all requests are responded to in a timely manner
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Post-secondary degree/diploma focused in marketing/digital marketing
- Experience in online marketing or related marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of digital marketing practices like SEO, web analytics, and HTML preferred
- Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- A strong desire to learn while moving projects forward
Nice to Have:
- Experience with web content management systems
- Experience with digital marketing best practices and SEO practices
- Experience within the financial industry would be an asset
- Web analytics experience including Google Analytics, data analysis and dashboarding
Please note:
In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
