Elementary Academy Campus Office Coordinator

Role Mission: The Office Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring that both students and families have a wonderful experience at our school and have everything they need to succeed. This role is essential to ensuring students and staff have the resources they need to accomplish our ambitious student achievement goals.

Accountabilities:

  • Creates a neat, welcoming & organized office environment; maintain complete sets of all parent & staff forms.
  • Welcome parents & visitors, maintains accurate visitor logs, respond to visitor & parent requests as appropriate.
  • Primary contact for all of the school’s constituents.
  • Answer phones; redirect inquiries as appropriate & relay messages to staff in a  timely manner.
  • Process & fulfill staff supply, copy, and other similar requests & tasks.
  • Receives, distributes and prepares incoming/outgoing mail & shipments.
  • Stamp incoming invoices and log incoming checks.
  • Maintains school supply closet and school inventory system.
  • Maintains teacher workroom (s) and other shared workspaces.
  • Maintains office equipment; ensuring that they are always in working order.
  • Process late arrivals and follow-up with the families of absent students.
  • Assists Student Services Coordinator in managing & recording new student enrollment & withdrawals.
  • Assists with coordination of school events, test administration and processing, production & distribution of memos, newsletters, etc.
  • Assists the Academy Director with communication with staff & parents (e.g. newsletters).
  • Oversees execution of special events, such as field lessons, report card night, graduation, staff appreciation week, staff retreats.
  • Coordinates the school administrative systems and routines that allow the school to run on a daily basis.
  • Partners with the Student Services Coordinator in the LSC Scholar Recruitment initiatives.
  • Tracks, manages, and maintains accurate records of all parent volunteer hours.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or GED required; Associates Degree Preferred 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of administrative office experience.
  • Detailed-oriented, strong follow-through skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, maturity and ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Work independently and as a team member.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • Consistent positive attitude with the ability to manage confidential information and work in a team-oriented office.
  • Flexibility when dealing with the public, parents, students, and co-workers.

Compensation:

Salary range: $27,000 - $45,000 (commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications)

This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.  Additionally, Liberty STEAM Charter offers a comprehensive benefits package to include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k options.
