We are currently seeking a student Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will work in our  Supply Chain Department, focused on Logistics. This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to juniors or seniors within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ. This role is a hybrid role with some in-office time required. (May change based on job function but to plan on 2-3 days in office per week).

Key Responsibilities:

Our Supply Chain Logistics Intern works on meaningful activities that provide opportunities for personal and professional development, while contributing to Kyowa Kirin North America’s (KKNA) Logistics’ strategy through implementing industry best practices, driving competitively advantaged supply of materials and services, and optimizing distribution networks. Responsibilities will be projects and daily operational tasks that may include:

    • Develop enhanced reporting practices employing data analytics (e.g. Business Intelligence) to support managing freight, warehouse & distribution performance and cost.
      • Key Performance Indicator Process for On-Time-In Full (OTIF) Metric
      • Cost vs Budget
      • Temperature Excursion Trending
    • Engage with 3rd Party Logistics provider for daily execution requirements, ensuring fulfillment to customer obligation is met, safeguarding OTIF and Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) Requirements.
    • Identify where there are documentation voids in Logistics’ processes to support resiliency efforts in the supply chain and create documentation to close gaps including creating process flows (e.g. Visio Tool). Recommend where processes may be inefficient for removing nonvalue added activities for a more Lean supply chain.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • This position requires candidates to be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior interested in a career in Supply Chain Management.
  • Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ
  • Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th to August 15th
  • This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without sponsorship
