We are currently seeking a student Intern to join our team and get involved with different aspects of the creation of our new Manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC. As a Quality Assurance intern, you will work closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and other functions as needed based on the scope of the project. Our Quality Assurance Intern works on meaningful activities that provide opportunities for personal and professional development, while contributing to Kyowa Kirin North America’s plans to design and construct a biologics manufacturing facility. The project is in the construction phase. You will also gain a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), and the importance of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department in relation to product quality and our patients. This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to associate or undergraduate students within a commutable distance of Sanford, NC. This role is fully on site.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and review of SOP’s
- Research and gather information on QC equipment and analytical instruments and provide insights into equipment selection
- Creating high level presentations of findings
- Work with LIMS, Empower, and ELN suppliers to perform tasks related to system configuration and implementation
Requirements:
• This position requires candidates to have completed at least the first year of a full-time associates or undergraduate program in a life science related area (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
• Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th, 2025 to August 15th, 2025
• The ability to work fully on site schedule (5 days per week)
• Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Sanford, NC.
• This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis.
