We are currently seeking a summer intern to join our team. As an intern, you will work closely with the Manufacturing/Engineering Team. This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to rising juniors or rising seniors within a commutable distance of Sanford, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
Our Manufacturing/Engineering Intern works on meaningful activities that provide opportunities for personal and professional development, while contributing to Kyowa Kirin North America’s plans to design and construct a biologics manufacturing facility. The project is in the construction phase. The intern will work with the manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to move the project through the next phases.
Projects may include:
- Support implementation of the site’s ERP System
- Work in conjunction with Procurement team on a gap analysis project
- Assisting with manufacturing curriculum development and learning plan
- Support development of tech transfer plans
- Operational readiness project management
- Assisting with deployment of Lean manufacturing system
Qualifications/Requirements:
- This position requires candidates to be a rising Junior or rising Senior pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Sanford, North Carolina
- The ability to work 5 days per week on site at the facility’s Sanford office
- Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th to August 15th
- This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
- This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without sponsorship
