Department Summary
We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2025 Genentech Summer Internship Program. The ITOT department works closely with our Manufacturing business partners in order to produce pharmaceuticals. This partnership involves many moving parts and services. At times this can be a very challenging department while ensuring existing infrastructure and applications remain operational along with planning for new technologies. This is an exciting group that has an IT role in conjunction with an OT role.
This internship position is located in Oceanside on-site.
The Opportunity

Enhance the monitoring of IT infrastructure and OT applications.

Enhance the site's Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Program Highlights

Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start dates are between May and June 2025
-
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Final presentations of project work to senior leaders

Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, such as networking opportunities, workshops, tours, and panel discussions
Who You Are

Applicants must be age 18 or older for this opportunity

Must have a high school diploma or GED at the time of application
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology (enrolled student).

Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology (not currently enrolled in a graduate program)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Major in Computer Science preferred

Basic understanding of IT network infrastructure

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

The expected hourly rate range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Oceanside is $45- $50. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
