The Role

KBRA Credit Profile (KCP) Summer Intern

Application Deadline: February 7, 2025

KBRA is seeking talented individuals to join our 10-week summer internship program, hosted from June 3 through August 7, 2025. The KCP platform is a subscription-based surveillance service that covers more than 1,300 CRE securitizations with an aggregate balance of nearly $900 billion. KCP provides investors with valuations, loss forecasts, and actionable credit insights. This internship will be based out of our Dresher, Pennsylvania office. The application deadline is February 7, 2025.

As an intern, you will:

  • Gain practical knowledge about commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), including transaction structure and the underlying collateral.
  • Monitor the credit performance of CMBS transactions, including reviewing and assessing CRE loan and property performance.
  • Receive exposure to a multitude of relevant CRE and CMBS concepts such as discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling, developing property valuations, loan-level loss forecasts, financial statement and cash flow analysis, and market research.
  • Participate in database and efficiency projects, as well as research.
  • Be part of a growing team of experienced analysts and senior-level industry experts committed to individual and group development and education.

About You

You are interested in joining a growth-oriented, intellectual, and friendly environment. You have a natural curiosity and analytical aptitude towards problem solving and do not mind rolling up your sleeves to get the work done.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Undergraduate concentration in any area, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Real Estate.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong appetite for knowledge, especially in data and finance.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.

Base Pay

The anticipated base pay rate for the role will be $23/hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis by factors such as experience, level of education, skills, geography and other job-related factors.
