Quantitative Research Summer Analyst
This is an onsite internship based in Taipei and is not eligible for immigration/visa sponsorship. Full-time commitment is required for the duration of the internship.
What can you gain from the internship?
As a Summer Analyst at Kronos Research, you will gain exposure to all aspects of our quantitative trading operations, from risk management and accounts operations to running simulations and monitoring production trading performance.
You will work in our Trading Team closely with Quantitative Researchers, to expand our global trading presence efficiently and profitably. You will work with senior mentors on daily trading and researching tasks and share your achievements with the whole firm in the end of the internship period.
Full-time offers upon program completion may be offered to exceptional summer analysts!
Job Description
- Support day-to-day trading activities on a trading team
- Conduct research and statistical analysis to refine and optimize trading signals for different markets
- Explore trading ideas by monitoring trading systems and analyzing market data, market microstructure, and trading results for patterns
- Work closely with other researchers and software engineers to drive innovation across the firm
- Other ad hoc activities
Requirements
- Strong background in a quantitative discipline such as EE/CS/Math/Physics/Quantitative Finance/Financial Engineering
- Junior year or above; fresh graduates are welcome
- Strong interest in the quantitative trading industry
- Detail-oriented and sharp with numbers
- Self-starter who takes ownership of projects from beginning to end
- Able to approach problems with curiosity, and provide creative solutions
- Advanced skills in Python or C++, able to pick up modern C++ quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as a great team player
- Background in any of the following areas is a plus: machine learning, financial trading, blockchain technology

NT$ 150,000 / month
