Pentair’s Sales Leadership Development Program is an accelerated program for recent college graduates with proven ability to excel in today’s fast-paced world. The program is designed to develop high caliber individuals into future leaders in Sales. The program provides participants the opportunity to gain high level visibility to leadership and create significant impact within a global manufacturing organization.

Our Leadership Development Program:

The Sales Leadership Development Program is a two-year program consisting of two, 6-month rotations in Customer Success, Sales Operations or Inside Sales, and one, one year rotation in Outside Field Sales. The consecutive 6-month rotations would take place in one of our office or manufacturing locations, and the 1-year rotation would take place in an assigned U.S. territory. The program will begin in June 2025 and will give participants exposure to different facets of Sales through assigned rotations based on business needs and individual career aspirations. Program participants will develop skills in product/industry knowledge and technical aptitude, selling skills and commercial acumen, customer relationship building, project management, and leadership competencies that can extend to a variety of opportunities even beyond sales.

  • Customer Success Rotation— In this rotation, you will engage with customer service and product support to gain comprehensive understanding of product, service and impact; promoting a customer-centric culture. You will exercise emotional intelligence and communication skills to build trust, rapport and customer obsession. You will interact with customers to identify common issues and pain points to tailor sales pitches to specific problems, understand customer needs and satisfaction levels to guide more strategic sales approaches, and provide valuable feedback from customer interactions to drive continuous improvement, meet market demands and enhance overall business outcomes.
  • Inside Sales Rotation— In this rotation, you will gain an understanding of products, services and proper applications, to generate sales expansion or upselling. You will utilize Salesforce to engage, document, and commercialize interactions with customers. You will develop strong internal and external communication skills through supporting lead generation, qualification, and process flow to completion of sale.
  • Sales Operations – In this rotation, you will drive sales excellence through administrative and process support and utilize salesforce.com to learn existing sales processes and best practices, including minimal data clean up. You will navigate complex internal systems and processes to enhance understanding, advocating for improvements where appropriate. You will act as a liaison between the sales team and internal cross-functional teams and support tactical strategic launches to facilitate sales execution.
  • Outside Field Sales Rotation— In this rotation, you will strengthen your understanding of products, services, and proper applications, while emphasizing customer relationship development including retention and driving sales growth. You will engage in presentations, product education and group speaking events. You will utilize CRM (Salesforce) to engage, document, and commercialize interactions with customers, and participate in competitive account conversion.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Management) or related field from an accredited university (Preferred Graduation Date: Spring 2025).
  • Have a strong interest in pursuing the Sales Leadership Development Program which requires annual relocation/working in locations throughout the United States upon graduation.
  • Have previous sales or business-related internship or co-op experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation:

For California and New York City residents, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $58,000  - $ 107,700 / year. For all other candidates, the anticipated base pay range will be from $52,700- $97,900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
