The outcome from this work will be a key contributor to enabling innovation and transformation - from manually driven, siloed, and fragmented finance processes into global, efficient, and best in class offerings.
A key component of this role will be to understand and interpret strategic transformational goals and effectively translate them into actionable plans, fostering a culture of accountability, and driving measurable results to propel the CFO group forward.
Job Description
What will you do?
- Prepare and present clear, thoughtful materials to enable decision making
- Develop an understanding of core financial processes across the organization while maintaining a transformational mindset
- Be comfortable bridging the gap between business and technology requirements; linking strategy and execution
- Present key findings and potentials solutions into a target state recommendation and an actionable plan
- Perform benchmark on industry best practices to drive improvements to maturity and establish ‘best in class’ industry processes
- Support the development and implements change management plans to ensure program deliverables are achieved
- Responsible for identifying key issues prior to and during implementation, raising issues with key stakeholders and offering solutions
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 1-2 years of industry or related experience
- Near completion of a Master's program in, Business, Commerce, Accounting, Technology or Engineering
- A strong business acumen and interest in banking / finance
- A strong sense of personal responsibility and time management, self-motivated self-starter with a curious mind set.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint etc.), exposure to Python (building models and executing tasks etc.)
- Previous exposure to business case story-telling
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience in a Financial institution or consulting firm

- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
