Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Business Analytics team is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Business Analytics Intern. The primary responsibility of this role is to work with business unit stakeholders, technical teams & agencies to design, develop and interpret data-driven analytics solutions to help inform decision-making. This role will get exposed to various business domains, while working towards the objective of enabling efficiency and data-driven insights.
What you’ll be doing
- Gain exposure to various business domains (and related data) such as Sales, Incentives, Media, Digital Marketing, Parts and Accessories, Contact Center, Connected Vehicle, etc.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and help solve business problems with the help of data analytics
- Partner with other analysts to create data visualizations to provide insights
- Conduct exploratory analyses to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
- Build deeper skills in data transformation, visualization & analysis
- Learn how to automate data analytics processes
What you bring
- Strategic and analytical orientation: A track record of data-driven decision making and problem solving. Conceptual thinking skills complemented by strong quantitative orientation.
- Team player: Ability to partner and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. You should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results
- Strong communication and influence skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Technical background: Experience using multiple analytics tools (like SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, SAS, Excel) to acquire, transform, visualize, and gain insights from large amounts of data
- Expected Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, MIS or related discipline

Qualification Section
Internship Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited Bachelor’s degree program or accredited MBA or Master’s degree program
- Juniors and above with a graduation date of May 2024 or later
- Available to work full-time during the Spring or Winter term
- GPA of 2.73 or higher
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
