Job summaryAs a Credit Support Analyst in our commercial lending support team, you coordinate activities required to document and close complex commercial loan transactions. You will act as a central point of contact to track deliverables, collect and review due diligence, and support documentation preparation for new, renewal, and modification requests. You will help ensure closing conditions align to approved terms while maintaining strong service and clear communication with stakeholders. You will also identify and escalate documentation and vendor risks to support effective controls.
Job responsibilities- Coordinate end-to-end closing activities for complex commercial loan transactions.
- Collect, track, and validate due diligence requirements and closing deliverables.
- Review credit approvals and confirm closing conditions and documentation requirements align with approved terms.
- Liaise with clients as directed by the relationship manager to obtain required documents and information.
- Review entity and organizational documentation and confirm appropriate authorization and good standing, as required.
- Order, obtain, and review Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searches and related lien documentation, as required.
- Coordinate ordering and review of third-party reports such as title work, surveys, appraisals, environmental reports, and flood determinations, as applicable to the transaction structure.
- Review insurance documentation and other collateral-related items required to support the approved structure.
- Evaluate received reports and documentation to confirm collateral and documentation requirements are met and escalate gaps or exceptions.
- Identify, manage, and escalate vendor and documentation risks in line with established controls.
- Maintain accurate status updates, timelines, and documentation records to support timely, high-quality execution.
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal qualification, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 1+ years experience supporting commercial loan documentation and/or loan closing processes.
- Knowledge of commercial loan products and end-to-end lending processes, including underwriting and documentation workflows.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to commercial lending due diligence, documentation, and collateral perfection.
- Ability to review transaction packages for adherence to approved terms and identify missing or inconsistent items.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills with sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- One year of compliance-related experience supporting lending requirements (including flood insurance requirements).
- Experience coordinating commercial real estate due diligence (e.g., title work, surveys, appraisals, environmental reports).
- Experience supporting construction lending and related documentation workflows.
- Experience supporting financing transactions for automobile dealership clients or similar commercial client segments.
