Senior Software Tester
As a Senior Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our cutting-edge software solutions. You will leverage your extensive experience to design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, identify critical defects, and contribute to a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The main purpose of the role:The main purpose of this position is to take responsibility for the testing of software and mobile applications as well as the implementation of test methodologies and processes. This includes the compilation and creation of test plans and test cases from the design documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior testing team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Analyze test results and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the automation of test scripts where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation certificate
- Basic SQL administration
- 3 -5 years experience
- Software testing - web/mobile testing - API testing - 2 years of experience
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience required
DevOps – automation, scripting, building ci/cd pipelines - 1-2 years of experience
Min 1 object-oriented and 1 scripting language- power shell, bash, python
Selenium automation designing, developing, and executing automated test cases from
Requirement - 1-2 years experience
Good understanding of a programming language (JavaScript and C)# - 1-2 years experience
