The Role
Create and maintain 12D civil and stormwater models, service drawings, detention systems, underground drainage networks, and flood analysis documentation. Use DRAINS, HEC-RAS, 2Flow, and related hydraulic or hydrological modelling tools. Coordinate with engineers, manage multiple project deliverables, perform QA checks, and improve workflows through automation and AI-assisted tools. The role supports large-scale development projects and requires accurate, code-compliant design outputs delivered within tight deadlines.

Ready to do work that actually excites you?
We are looking for a 12D Designer to produce civil design models and service drawings, with a focus on stormwater management and drainage infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this role should have mid-level experience in 12D modelling and drawing production, along with a working understanding of flood analysis, detention design, and underground pipe network design. This role is critical for delivering accurate, code-compliant design models and documentation that keep large-scale development projects on schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain 12D models for civil and stormwater design, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
- Produce detailed service drawings from design models, including drainage and stormwater infrastructure layouts
- Design stormwater detention systems in line with project requirements and stormwater management plans
- Assist in the modelling and documentation of underground drainage networks using established design parameters.
- Carry out flooding and overland flow analysis using hydraulic and hydrological modelling tools
- Prepare and update design inputs for stormwater management plans
- Run drainage and hydraulic modelling in software such as DRAINS and HEC-RAS, and support storm simulation modelling where required
- Coordinate with design engineers and project team members to align models and drawings with design intent and project deadlines
- Manage multiple modelling and drawing deliverables across large, high-volume development projects while meeting tight timeframes
- Apply structured processes and QA checks to ensure model integrity, drawing consistency, and documentation accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in design workflows, including the use of automation and AI-assisted tools
Requirements
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 4-8+ years of experience in civil design, drainage design, or stormwater modelling, or related experience
- Proficiency in 12D (core requirement); Civil 3D experience is desirable as an alternative
- Familiarity with DRAINS, or the ability to learn it quickly on the job
- Knowledge of general Australian civil engineering codes and standards is required, while experience working on South East Queensland projects is highly regarded
- Experience with 2Flow or other storm simulation software, as well as HEC-RAS modelling, is an advantage
- Ability to self-learn with guidance, and to follow structured processes and recorded training materials
- Forward-thinking mindset toward efficiency, including openness to AI tools and workflow automation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in modelling and drawing production
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to deliver within tight project deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with engineers and project teams
Benefits
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- HMO, Dental, and Life Insurance for you and one free dependent from day one (with the option to enroll additional dependents)
- Paid Leaves: Birthday, Vacation, Medical, and Maternity (up to 6 Vacation Leaves are convertible to cash on your anniversary)
- Employee Engagement Activities: Year-End Party, Family Day, Team Building, and more!
