We are looking for a Junior Science Communication and Dissemination Specialist to support the
Regional Models and geo-Hydrological Impacts (REMHI) Division team in communication, dissemination, and outreach activities in the field of climate change and its interaction with the society.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Her/his responsibilities will include the enhancement of the contents of the platforms (drafting of articles/website pages/infographics, multimedia) the development of additional contents in coordination with all the involved research units and the general improvement of content accessibility and user engagement.
The web and science communication consultant will be based in Caserta, at CMCC premises and work closely with all the people contributing to the dataclime platform. She/he will also contribute to the development of educational resources to enhance the visibility and impact of the climate services and products available on dataclime.
We seek a versatile individual with a scientific background and familiar web development, graphic design, video production tools, capable of producing engaging content. The ideal candidate will be proactive, creative, and skilled in using various media to convey complex scientific concepts in an accessible and compelling manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in scientific fields, computer science or in science communications;
- Proven (at least 5 years) experience in web development and science communication;
- Experience in designing WordPress websites and themes with special focus on Elementor PRO and WP Bakery
- Experience with web tools and languages like HTML, CSS3, SASS and good attitude to learn new tools;
- Experience in collaborating effectively with scientists;
- A multimedia/multiplatform approach to designing and realizing interactive communication and dissemination products;
- Proficiency in remote collaboration and office tools like GSuite, with a positive attitude towards team collaboration and strong team-oriented attitude;
- Familiarity with the most common Content Management Systems
- Familiarity with photo, audio and video production tools;
- Background in managing editorial content;
- Fluency in English;
- Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad participate in both in-person meetings and videoconferences;
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Accuracy and good analytical skills.
- Experience with computer graphics software is a plus: raster and vector graphics (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
- The Web and science communication consultant will be based in Caserta CMCC office.
- The appointment period will be initially of 12 months starting from July 2025 with a gross annual salary range from 23 K to 32 K Euros depending on qualification and working experience;
- Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
- Flexible working time as per internal policies.
- Support during the immigration process, if needed.

Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
