Our Division of Impacts on Agriculture, Forests and Ecosystem Services (IAFES) is looking for a new project manager, capable of effectively liaising with multiple project stakeholders, including researchers, administrators, and external partners; with strong financial and budget experience; with the ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems efficiently.
Whether it's ensuring smooth management of financial resources, overseeing day-to-day operations, or providing strategic support for research initiatives, your contribution will be crucial to our collective success. We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with a proven track record in project management, particularly within the context of carbon cycle modelling and climate change research.

ROLE
The project manager is responsible for the management of a new Horizon Europe project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The project manager will support the Project Coordinator of the IAFES Division, with:
- Assure that from an executive perspective, the Projects are carried out respecting fully the “General Conditions” as set out in the Grant agreement
- Timely and adequate financial and technical reporting and monitoring
- Development, engagement and relationship building & management with all the partners
- Facilitate and support the team in the contacts and make the arrangements for project meetings
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in project management or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience Horizon Europe project management.
- Very good knowledge of the English language.
- Accuracy and good analytical skills.
- Work dedication.
- Ability to work under stress conditions.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
- The Managers will be based in one of the CMCC office and the opportunity to work remotely will be given.
- Part-time contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
- The appointment period will be initially of 12 starting from 02/12/2024 and renewable up to 48 months.
- Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
- Flexible working time as per internal policies.
- Support during the immigration process, if needed.

What We Do
The Foundation Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC) is a research centre on climate science and policy.
The CMCC:
- Integrates all studies on climate change and adaptation/mitigation policies
- Promotes collaboration and synergy with international organisations, policy makers, and industry
- Provides technical-scientific support to the institutions involved in the negotiation and international cooperation activities.
CMCC produces thorough studies regarding climate variability, causes, and consequences, through the development of high-resolution simulations based on global models of Earth systems and regional models, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean area.
CMCC's research assures the maintenance of highly reliable products and instruments, which are made available to the scientific community and to further studies on climate science and climate change impacts.
CMCC maintains, checks, and develops numeric model simulations, which are used to study the effects of climate change on the following areas: economy, agriculture, coastal areas, marine and land environment, hydrogeological cycle, carbon cycle and human health
