YMCA of Northwest North Carolina Benefits Overview

Leads youth and adult sports programs, supervising staff, volunteers, coaches, and officials. Oversees scheduling, communications, safety, equipment, field preparation, registration timelines, and participant engagement. Recruits and trains volunteers and sports staff, supports financial transactions and philanthropy efforts, and serves as a lead coach and site supervisor. Requires evening and weekend availability, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience with organized sports or coaching.

Officiate youth and adult sports games, enforce game and safety rules, monitor gym and field activities, and build positive relationships with participants, parents, and coaches. Support preschool sports programs, assist with department marketing and projects, maintain equipment areas, and help provide a safe, fun, mission-driven YMCA experience. Evening and weekend availability is required, with possible work at other YMCA branches.

Leads Camp Hanes administrative office operations, registration, billing, records, family and group communications, marketing coordination, board support, fundraising events, and cross-department collaboration. Maintains accurate systems, calendars, contracts, participant information, and financial documentation while providing responsive service to families, guests, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Supports recruitment, onboarding, compliance, planning, and seasonal camp operations in alignment with YMCA values.
