Conduct applied research for the BIOSMART project on intelligent stormwater management and engineered bioswales. Maintain and extend distributed monitoring systems, harmonize data across international partner sites, analyze hydrological events, support water balance modelling and optimization, and develop real-time indicators of bioswale capacity using field observations and sensor data.

Supports daily operations of university sports facilities by preparing equipment, assisting customers and event organisers, monitoring safety, conducting inspections, addressing minor maintenance issues, opening and closing facilities, and supporting sporting and community events. The role requires teamwork, customer service, flexibility, and willingness to work varied weekday and weekend shifts.

Conduct computational astrophysics or theoretical chemistry research on halogenated molecular biosignatures. Develop electronic structure methodologies, automated computational pipelines, and theoretical spectroscopic databases using high-performance computing. Analyze high-throughput spectroscopic data, contribute to code development, and communicate findings through presentations and high-quality scientific writing as part of a three-year STFC-funded project.
