Designs, prototypes, builds, and tests spacecraft hardware and mechanisms. Responsibilities include requirements collaboration, mechanical design documentation, work instructions, test planning, troubleshooting, and support for launch and test campaigns. The role partners with systems architects, technicians, manufacturing engineers, and other engineering teams to optimize spacecraft designs for performance and manufacturability.

Lead and sustain spacecraft and payload manufacturing processes for production and prototype builds. Develop work instructions, coordinate materials and technicians, train personnel, support design reviews, provide DFM guidance, resolve nonconformances, and perform root cause analysis. The role partners with engineering, quality, supply chain, and test teams to deliver reliable aerospace hardware, including assembly, integration, tooling, testing, and production process improvements.

Develop and lead high-reliability flight and payload software for spacecraft platforms. Responsibilities include requirements development, software architecture, embedded coding, documentation, command and control software, hardware and ground-system integration, code reviews, and unit through system-level testing. The role requires expertise in concurrent software, Rust or C/C++, Linux-based SoC architectures, networking, cybersecurity, cryptography, and satellite bus software, with 10–20% travel and an active TS/SCI clearance.
