Spear Bio Benefits Overview

Integrate and troubleshoot automated life science platforms spanning immunoassays, nucleic acid assays, instruments, software, and consumables. Design experiments, analyze assay and instrument data, develop Python-based workflows and pipelines, conduct validation and qualification testing, and document results under regulated design controls. The role drives root-cause investigations, corrective actions, system reliability, and cross-functional integration while mentoring junior engineers and progressing toward technical leadership.

Develop and integrate software, data pipelines, LIMS infrastructure, dashboards, instrument controls, and automated assay workflows for an ultrasensitive immunoassay platform. Execute system verification tests, baseline assays, and calibration studies while troubleshooting hardware, software, and reagent interfaces. Translate assay insights into software requirements and maintain compliant documentation under 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 13485, and FDA QSR design controls.

Provides field-facing engineering support for Spear Bio’s SPEAR S.W.I.F.T. instrument platform. Responsibilities include customer-site installations, IQ/OQ execution, preventive maintenance, service calls, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, fluidic, software, and assay workflow issues. The role also supports customer onboarding, documentation, root-cause investigations, engineering improvements, ECOs, refurbishment, NPI builds, verification testing, and service documentation. Travel is up to 70%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel.
