Skirball Cultural Center Benefits Overview

Leads the Skirball Cultural Center’s marketing, communications, brand, public relations, digital content, visitor experience, admissions, retail, and community engagement functions. Develops integrated strategies to increase attendance, diversify audiences, strengthen reputation, build loyalty, and grow revenue. Oversees multidisciplinary teams, budgets, campaigns, media relations, creative resources, visitor services, merchandising, analytics, agencies, and institutional partnerships while ensuring welcoming, mission-aligned audience experiences.

Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, developing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Identify and qualify new prospects, secure five- and six-figure gifts, prepare proposals and gift agreements, and partner with executives, board members, and volunteers on campaign solicitations. Maintain donor database records, support planned giving, coordinate donor engagement across teams, and report on campaign progress and pipeline forecasting.

Develops and submits foundation and government grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, and capital grant applications. Creates program narratives, outcomes, evaluation plans, budgets, and capital case language. Collaborates with education, curatorial, finance, and leadership teams; ensures funder compliance and reporting deadlines; maintains the grants pipeline and calendar; and identifies new funding prospects.
