Rodeo FX Benefits Overview

Creates complex photorealistic visual effects simulations including fire, smoke, fluids, destruction, and abstract effects using Houdini. Collaborates with FX, CG supervision, pipeline, production, lighting, layout, and compositing teams to deliver technically stable, optimized shots. Responsibilities include artistic problem-solving, cache and file quality control, technical troubleshooting, estimating, communication, knowledge sharing, and integrating feedback throughout the VFX production process.

Develop and operate the software platform supporting a large-scale VFX pipeline. Responsibilities include software lifecycle management, upgrades and migrations, containerization, reproducible environments, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and Rez package and dependency management. The role partners with pipeline developers and IT teams to deliver reliable, configurable, and scalable tools to artists while reducing deployment risks and manual effort.

Build and operate the technical platform supporting Rodeo FX’s VFX pipeline. Responsibilities include managing software lifecycles and upgrades, containerizing pipeline software and services, creating reproducible and configurable environments, maintaining Rez packages and dependencies, and improving CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, validation, release, and rollback workflows. The role collaborates with pipeline developers and IT to deliver dependable, scalable platform changes across production teams.
