On Rebellion’s DEI council, Jackie Kazil directly plans and coordinates support for affinity month celebrations, inclusivity training and partnerships with groups like ByteBack and PyLadies. Also a ByteBack board member, Kazil backs its efforts to offer inclusive tech training to under-resourced communities, to which Rebellion has donated IT equipment. “We seek partnerships between Rebellion and ByteBack to volunteer time and mentor students,” she said. “We’ve also run multiple fundraisers internally to support ByteBack and, when able, support direct job placement at Rebellion.”

Since starting in a contract role, Alicia Kauth has seized opportunities for advancement at every turn. “My responsibilities have varied over the past few years at Rebellion,” she said. “What has kept me engaged and growing is the ability to create new responsibilities for myself in areas I strive to either learn more about or enjoy doing the most.” Amid making Rebellion’s coordination and talent teams more efficient — “I strive to give our team every competitive advantage possible in the battle for talent,” she said — Kauth rests assured her own manager is keeping her career goals in mind.
