Nuclear Promise X Benefits Overview

Design Engineering Interns support nuclear engineering projects through engineering calculations, analyses, minor design changes, maintenance and procurement activities, plant walk-downs, technical documentation, stakeholder coordination, and presentations. Interns may work with Mechanical Design or Electrical and Instrumentation & Control teams, contribute to innovation and research initiatives, and apply lessons learned to improve future design work.

Develop, test, maintain, and deploy software and AI-enabled solutions for nuclear industry projects. Build features and lightweight applications, support AI-driven functionality, troubleshoot applications, and contribute to testing, integration, and deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions while gaining experience with full-stack development, AI applications, and modern architectures.

Design and implement end-to-end AI systems and production-grade components. Build and maintain RAG pipelines, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines. Write Python code using Azure AI SDK. Implement document digitization, vectorization, semantic search, and content summarization. Prepare training/evaluation datasets, participate in code reviews, and drive engineering quality and deployment of AI-powered SaaS workflows.
