Principal Software Engineer responsible for solving complex platform and infrastructure challenges, defining multi-year architecture, and leading foundational initiatives across the software platform. The role focuses on APIs, abstractions, system architecture, scalability, software quality, and engineering velocity. The engineer will identify architectural bottlenecks, drive initiatives from design through deployment, serve as a technical escalation point, build consensus across teams, and mentor engineers.

Leads the engineering organization responsible for modeling, rendering, simulation, distributed computing, and quality. Owns platform roadmap execution, manages engineering managers, accelerates AI-assisted software development, improves delivery and testing processes, and balances zero-to-one product development with ongoing releases. Partners with Product and represents platform engineering to company leadership. Requires deep technical credibility and a proven record of organizational transformation, product delivery, and engineering leadership.

Lead a distributed team responsible for nTop’s modeling and rendering technology. Coach senior engineers, structure concurrent technical workstreams, improve development velocity, partner with Product Management on execution, and guide modernization of the rendering pipeline and transition from desktop software to AI-assisted, multi-surface products. The role requires technical fluency in graphics, geometry, computational math, C++, and GPU rendering, along with experience managing distributed engineering teams.
