Lead Nordstrom’s enterprise platform and SRE technical direction across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, security, and multi-region architecture. Establish long-term architecture and engineering standards, improve autonomous deployment and runtime scaling, drive resilience and observability practices, guide major incident response, and influence teams without direct authority. Mentor senior engineers, resolve cross-team technical challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and balance reliability investments with business value.

Leads a distributed software engineering team responsible for Kafka-based data streaming infrastructure, real-time pipelines, and event-driven systems. Owns platform strategy, architecture, roadmap, delivery, operational excellence, compliance, hiring, and team development. Partners with product, program, business, and leadership teams to deliver scalable, secure, highly available systems. Drives cross-functional projects, technical decisions, agile processes, KPIs, budgeting, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Develop scalable microservices, distributed applications, data pipelines, and database solutions for Nordstrom’s product information platform. Responsibilities include designing data architectures, optimizing performance, conducting code reviews, building testing and CI/CD tools, supporting production systems, monitoring alerts and dashboards, reducing costs, and collaborating with business and engineering teams. The role also involves near-real-time Kafka processing and applying AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
