New Mexico Highlands University seeks tenure-track faculty for the Social Work program. Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, and community engagement, focusing on diverse populations in New Mexico.

Serve as NMHU's chief strategist and primary liaison for government and community engagement. Develop and lead governmental, legislative, tribal, and community relations strategy, advocate during legislative sessions, advise the President and senior leadership, cultivate partnerships, coordinate institutional external engagement, ensure compliance with lobbying and ethics rules, and represent the University at events across New Mexico.

Provide executive leadership for the intercollegiate athletics department, overseeing staff, coaches, budgets, compliance (NCAA, RMAC, Title IX, financial aid), student-athlete academic success and welfare, fundraising, facilities planning, event scheduling, and external relations. Serve on President's Cabinet and coordinate with campus offices to ensure program competitiveness and regulatory compliance.
