Lead and develop the accounting team, partner with the CFO and FP&A, and modernize accounting through AI, automation, and scalable process improvements while ensuring U.S. GAAP and regulatory compliance.

Lead discovery, design, implementation, debugging, and architecture for Second Life’s large-scale C++ simulation and server systems. Own ambiguous technical problems, improve reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability across systems and teams, and mentor engineers. The role requires deep expertise in concurrent systems, production troubleshooting, distributed services, and complex codebases, with regular onsite work in San Francisco Monday through Thursday.

Own day-to-day People Operations, including payroll, benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, compliance, employee lifecycle administration, HR systems, reporting, and automation. Lead process improvements, maintain Paylocity data integrity, advise employees and managers, manage a People Operations team member, and provide People leadership with actionable insights, risks, and recommendations.
