Glacier Benefits Overview

Lead Glacier’s distributed computer vision engineering team, owning the CV roadmap, technical priorities, execution, hiring, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. Guide model, dataset, compute, evaluation, and production-performance decisions without serving as a day-to-day developer. Oversee labeling operations and coordinate with Product, Software, Operations, Manufacturing, and Field Engineering to deliver computer vision systems for recycling robots and customer sites.

Leads Glacier’s hardware and robotics engineering roadmap, architecture, execution, and team development. Oversees mechanical and electrical engineering, drives technical tradeoffs, establishes engineering processes, and ensures systems are reliable, manufacturable, scalable, cost-effective, and deployable. Partners with manufacturing, operations, field service, software, and product teams while balancing timelines, capacity, risk, cost, and customer requirements. This is a technical leadership role with occasional individual-contributor involvement.

Own image and video dataset lifecycle and quality, build and maintain data pipelines and versioning, create internal tools for labeling and curation, coordinate with labeling teams, and improve training-data collection using model-assisted and active-learning approaches.
