Edmunds Benefits Overview
We could tell you all our benefits, but then we'd have to hire you. Edmunds takes care of employees by providing a full suite of perks and benefits while on the Ride of a Lifetime. Compensation + Benefits
Offers 401(K)
Edmunds matches pre-tax and Roth 401(k) contributions at 100%, up to 6% of eligible salary (up to IRS limit), with immediate vesting.
Offers disability insurance
Edmunds pays 100% of the premium cost for employee disability income protection coverage of 70% of base salary up to the plan limits.
Offers charitable contribution matching
Edmunds supports the causes our employees hold dear. In partnership with CarMax, donations to qualified organizations are matched up to $5,000 per year.
Provides 401(K) matching
Edmunds matches pre-tax and Roth 401(k) contributions at 100%, up to 6% of eligible salary (up to IRS limit), with immediate vesting.
Offers life insurance
Edmunds pays 100% of the premium cost for employee life and AD&D coverage of one and a half times employee’s base salary, up to $450,000.

Edmunds offers a dependent care flexible spending account.
Offers generous parental leave
Based on tenure, employees who are primary caregivers may qualify for up to four months of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, and non-primary caregivers may qualify for up to one month.

Aetna dental coverage is offered for basic and major services. Coverage also includes 100% coverage for preventive care. You and your eligible dependents may enroll in one of the two dental coverages.

Multiple comprehensive PPO and HMO (California only) options are available. All include doctor, hospital and prescription coverage. Edmunds pays 70–100% of the medical insurance premium cost.

Two options are available. The free option covers annual exams, and the other includes annual exams and lenses/frames or contacts annually.

Employees who enroll in an Edmunds’ high deductible medical coverage can open a healthcare savings account (HSA) and receive a contribution to the HSA from Edmunds.
