Provides bookkeeping and accounting support for small and mid-sized business clients. Responsibilities include recording transactions, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting payroll and benefits reconciliations, communicating with clients and vendors, and recommending process improvements. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, client service, and proficiency with cloud-based accounting technologies.

Serve as primary tax expert and hands-on preparer/reviewer for assigned clients. Manage multi-entity, multi-state compliance and planning, oversee outsourced preparers, develop internal tax processes, advise on M&A and nonprofit tax issues, deliver tax training, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely filings.

Lead financial and accounting operations including internal controls, audits, budgeting, cash management, tax and audit coordination, job costing and P&L reporting. Oversee payroll, commissions, benefits administration, employee performance management, vendor insurance and surety relationships, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
