“Our people are at the center of everything we do,” one Core Digital Media leader said. A people-first mentality — the foundation of CDM’s six core values — is exemplified through a focus on health and wellness, as well as ample growth opportunities. Employees maintain their mental health with dedicated R&R days and further their professional development via formal soft skills training and stretch projects. This people-first mindset also extends to the community, as CDM teams love to volunteer.

WELLNESS TAKES CENTER STAGE
Mental health in mind
An emphasis on work-life balance makes CDM a more fulfilling place to work. Team members get a mental health day per quarter and are encouraged to work flexibly based on their schedules. Employees recently got a “treat yo self” afternoon off to enjoy a sponsored self-care activity (from spa packages to puzzles). Other initiatives like “no-meeting Fridays” also help fight burnout.

Being ‘people-first’ isn’t just a tagline — it’s a way of life for our leadership team.
A PEOPLE-FIRST CULTURE
Working better, together
Jason Simpson
Senior Software Release Engineer
Another company value? “Collaboration.” For Simpson, it describes how employees are encouraged to be vocal about ideas that are important to them — even if they aren't implemented. While the team collaborates on topics like adopting new tech, they also come together to have fun and give back to the community. Simpson and other team members volunteer at schools by making toys and painting and cleaning the grounds.
The culture is so friendly and welcoming that by the time you start, most of the company will know your name and your team in anticipation of your arrival.
