Though hired in mid-2021, Radke is already assuming a role in shaping company values after being selected to join the “Culture Champion” team. “It’s a new international initiative to address culture and make sure that Checkout.com colleagues feel included, connected and valued,” she said, adding that colleague-driven links like topic-specific Slack channels and happy hours are a big part of the employee experience.

After joining Checkout.com, Casey got to lead a handful of new events, despite being a newcomer. Not to worry: With support from an encouraging manager, she didn’t just chart the new terrain — but built one program into “the most successful virtual event to date,” according to Casey. She also called out mentorship from senior leadership, quarterly-goal setting and knowledgeable peers as catalysts for growth.
