Financial + Retirement
401(K)
Employees are eligible to participate in a traditional 401k and/or Roth 401k account. Participants are automatically enrolled at 4% of their base salary.
401(K) matching
Aurora Solar offers a 50% match to employee’s contributions up to a maximum of $1,200 annually.
Company equity
All full time employees receive equity grants which vest over a standard 4-year period with a 1-year cliff. Employees with a tenure of 2 years have an extended exercise window of 10 years.
Performance bonus
Every full-time employee receives variable pay in their compensation package that's either tied to individual performance, MBOs, or company performance.

Home-office stipend for remote employees
Employees are provided with a MacBook Pro along with a $500 stipend to set up their home office to create their peak working environment. An additional $100 is provided every 6 months.

Dental insurance
Our dental plan covers 100% of preventative services expenses.
Disability insurance
Short-Term Disability insurance is provided with 100% base pay coverage for up to 12 weeks. Long-Term Disability insurance is provided with 60% base pay coverage.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Employees can participate in our Dependent Care, Health Care, and/or Limited-purpose FSA. They can contribute up to the IRS maximum set for that plan year.
Health insurance
Aurora offers medical, dental, and vision plans. We cover 100% of the premiums for individual-only coverage for base plans. Additionally, we cover 90% of the premiums for employees who add dependents.
Life insurance
We offer life insurance with a payout of 1x an employee’s annual salary up to $250000. Additionally, employees receive an additional $25,000 in coverage for basic life and ad&d.
Vision insurance
The vision benefits plan covers 100% of the plan costs and includes routine eye exams.
