American Coatings Association & PaintCare Benefits Overview

The Controller oversees accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax compliance, cash management, internal controls, and financial systems for ACA and its subsidiaries. The role reviews reconciliations and financial statements, coordinates external audits, supports strategic analysis, manages accounting technology, and mentors Finance and Accounting staff. It reports to the CFO and operates in a hybrid Washington, DC environment.

Coordinate HR and office operations, managing recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll data entry, and office management tasks. Support employee benefits and ensure smooth operations in office services.

Advocate for the coatings industry before Congress and stakeholders, analyze legislation, develop legislative and grassroots strategies, manage committee support and industry engagement, coordinate events and DC fly-ins, and represent the association at political functions.
