Sunday acquired CHK PLZOperating in the hospitality payments space, sunday offers restaurants a web-based platform that allows customers to pay their bill by scanning a QR code at their table. The company acquired Montreal-based CHK PLZ, a platform that enables delivery, online and contactless table ordering solutions. Popmenu acquired OrderNerdWith online and takeout orders having grown in popularity over the course of the pandemic, restaurant marketing platform Popmenu is expanding its capabilities with its latest acquisition. The company added OrderNerd to its ranks for its centralized third-party online ordering solution. It plans to leverage that tech to provide expedited online ordering and delivery for restaurants. SnapMedTech pulled in $17.8MThe parent company of automated healthcare staffing platform SnapNurse secured fresh funding from a number of unnamed investors. This raise follows the company’s previous funding round in December. As the healthtech industry has been booming during the pandemic, SnapMedTech is set to earn $1.5 billion in revenue this year. Mujin expanded into Sandy Springs. Tokyo-based Mujin established its U.S. headquarters in the Atlanta metro area with Mujin Corp. The company develops robotics control tech that enables robots to perform a range of logistics tasks without the need for human coding. On top of Atlanta’s lower cost of living, transportation accessibility and booming logistics industry, Mujin was attracted to the city because of its ample and diverse talent base. Wahoo Fitness joined forces with the Atlanta Track Club. The fitness tech company develops wearable sensors and devices for those walking, running or cycling to track, measure and share their training data. The partnership dubs Wahoo the official wearable partner of the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon events and Publix Atlanta Marathon weekend.
