Australian fintech startup Zeller has announced its entry into the U.K. market, marking its first international expansion as part of a broader global growth strategy. Its operations in the country will be based in London.
According to reporting by Capital Brief, Zeller is targeting what it describes as a “large and underserved” market, with over 5.5 million businesses in the U.K. processing approximately £1.3 trillion, or about $2.65 trillion, in payments annually.
To support its U.K. operations, Zeller plans to hire more than 40 employees across technology, operations and go-to-market roles in the next three years.
As part of the expansion, the company has appointed Lars Weber, a former executive at ByteDance, to lead its U.K. operations.
