The drive from Kauzu HQ to River North, the hotbed of Chicago’s start-up community, is only about eight miles. But sometimes it feels like we’re in a different city—we know people at other start-ups and we network hard, but we’re pretty far removed from the day-to-day buzz of the start-up scene.
Which is why it’s so exciting to announce we’re in the line-up for the September Technori Pitch.
What’s a Technori Pitch? If you’re not from around here, or don’t follow start-ups, I’ll just share the description from their website: Technori Pitch is a monthly showcase of the city’s most innovative companies, pitching their latest technologies. It’s the city’s first large-scale, curated platform for companies to demo before an audience of entrepreneurs, executives, and enthusiasts.
We’ll have five minutes to tell the crowd what we’ve been up to all year.
Five minutes to cover Kono, Kauzu.Jobs and Kauzu.Biz.
Five minutes to tell the start-up community how we’re working to strengthen Chicago’s communities.
We’re not setting out to dazzle anyone. (Okay, maybe a little.) We mostly want to share our story with this audience to encourage them to become a part of it. Our partnerships—with Albany Park Community Center, Centers for New Horizons,Goldie’s Place, Storymix, ExpressPigeon, Aldermen O’Connor and Laurino, and so many others—support us, inspire us and drive us forward.
On September 19, we’re hoping to end the evening with still more partners, and keep our community thriving.
